The short version: we collect what's needed to run your lessons, we don't sell any of it, and you can have it deleted by emailing us.

What we collect

  • Account details, handled by Clerk — your email, your name, and the basic profile shared if you sign in with Google. We never see your password.
  • Your onboarding answers — the language you're learning, your age range, what to call you, your level, and why you're learning.
  • Practice data — which scenario you did, when, how long it took, your four scores, and any phrases you save.
  • Session transcripts — the text of a conversation, sent to our scoring service so it can write your feedback.

What we don't collect

No microphone audio — scoring works from text, and Nopala doesn't record or upload sound. No passwords, no payment details. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or run ads.

Who else sees it

Clerk handles sign-in, Neon stores your practice history, Vercel hosts the site (its analytics are aggregate and cookieless), and Render runs the scoring service. Nobody beyond that.

Cookies

Clerk uses a session cookie so you stay signed in. If you accept cookies, we also set a short-lived Demo cookie so guests can try one free practice session without creating an account — we don't use it to track you across the web. You can decline; Demo stays off, and the rest of the site still works. Small preferences — like whether sound is on — stay in your browser and aren't sent to us.

Deleting your data

Practice data is kept while your account exists, because it's what your progress is calculated from, and is deleted with the account. To see, correct, or delete anything, email nhan13574@gmail.com.

Changes

If what we collect changes, we'll update this page and the date above. See also our Terms of Service.
